Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll meet a Luxury Africa tours representative at the airport. Who will drive you to Wilson airport and assist to board you scheduled flight to Kalama Conservancy. Once you touch down at Samburu Kalama airstrip, you’ll be driven to Saruni for a check in at Saruni Samburu Lodge; a private wildlife conservancy. Perched at the top of the Kalama Mountains, It has a spectacular view of northern Kenya and offers a first-class safari experience in a pristine wilderness environment, miles away from any other visitor. Spend the afternoon at leisure.
Game Drive-Samburu National Reserve
Early morning game drives into Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is reach in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are an important attraction. Birdlife is abundant with over 450 species recorded. Enjoy a picnic lunch before driving back to the lodge and relax during the afternoon at the lodge .
Game Drive-Kalama Conservancy And Warrior’s Academy
After breakfast, game drives on Kalama Conservancy and explore the 200.000 acres of pristine wildness in total privacy. Join the re-greening movement happening in Kenya by throwing seed balls from the lodge shop. The seed balls consist of an indigenous tree seedling protected by a thick charcoal crust. Your guides will let you know the most suitable places to throw the seeds so that they stand the best chance of germinating. Drive to the lodge for lunch and refreshment.
After lunch, you will enrol in the warrior’s academy. This is a special interactive wildlife safari with a strong educational flavour. It is a fun learning experience that allows your family to explore not only wildlife, but also the authentic lifestyles of two of Africa’s last remaining and culturally fascinating tribes – the Masai and the Samburu. Under the tutelage of the ‘Moran’, or warriors, learn and experience at first hand the bush skills, folklore and ancient wisdom needed to survive in one of the richest wildlife regions in Africa. You will also gain in depth experience in wildlife tracking following an elephant or a leopard, learn survival skills. Visit an authentic Masai village to learn how to use bow, arrows, pangas and spears, build a bush camp, tend goats and cattle whilst listening to masai or samburu stories and songs.
Fly To Masai Mara
Rise to a hearty breakfast overlooking the lake before transferring to the Loldia airstrip for your flight to the Mara. Arrive in time for lunch, and then spend the afternoon exploring the Masai Mara’s vast wilderness on a game drive. You’ll enjoy unlimited game drives through rolling grassland and signature flat-topped acacia trees. Along with the vast herds roaming the savannah, you’ll visit the Mara River to view hippos and crocodiles. A campfire and delicious dinner await you on return to camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mara Plain Camp.
Walking Safari And Game Drive
The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.
The reserve is a photographer’s and naturalist’s paradise, with abundant elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. Leopards are frequently encountered, endangered black rhino hide in the dense thickets and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are found in the Mara River. The park is also home to over 450 bird species.
After breakfast, you will go for a walk into lion country. Masai warriors will your guides. If you look up ahead, you will be able to spot an elephant herd on the move. Zebra and wildebeest will also be very close. You will be silent and unthreatening, so these animals will not run. Even buffalo can be encountered from close quarters. It will be frightening at first, but the Masai have coexisted with these animals for many generations. They know how to interpret animal behaviour and plot a safe route. So, you will walk, feeling a deep connection with the Masai Mara grasslands and experiencing the thrill of the plains. Walking with Masai is just one exclusive activity at your Mara North camp. Hot Air Balloon And Game Drive
For a particularly memorable and unforgettable experience, enjoy a surreal journey in a Hot Air Balloon over the Masai Mara plains, culminating in a Champagne breakfast. At early morning, you will drive to the launch site. Depending on the weather conditions, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. Your pilot will give a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during the flight. The balloon crew will assist as you clamber into your balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise. As you rise the Maasai Mara plains opens up before your eyes to feast on the golden sunrise, enchanting sceneries, plains-game below as the winds gently blows the basket deeper into the reserve. The pilot is at hand pointing out at the wildlife below with plenty of photographic opportunities unfolding. Soar silently with 360 degrees of spectacular savannah lasting approximately one hour, depending on wind conditions. Continue with a breakfast set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a single balanite tree. Sit down to a full bush breakfast in the Kenyan style, complete with eggs-to-order, sausages, fresh juices, fruits, cereals and, of course, sparkling wine. Fly To Diani
Today, take the opportunity for a last early morning game drive and breakfast overlooking the plains before a short transfer to the Musiara airstrip and fly to Diani. Upon arrival, you will be met by your drive guide and proceed to the lodge, Check in at the Cliff Villa considered by many as the finest Villa on the East Africa coast, the Cliff Villa overlooks the Indian Ocean and its elevated position ensures privacy and stunning view.

Alfajiri Beach Villa is a fabulous villa tucked away at Diani Beach on Kenya’s south coast; the villas exude the height of luxury and individual style. The Beach Villa is beautifully perched on a coral cliff with breath-taking views across the Indian Ocean, walk for miles on Galu Beach, relax by the swimming pool overlooking the Indian Ocean, play tennis, squash or golf and also book a relaxing massage or reflexology or a Dhow excursion to Kisite Marine Park. There is a team that can look after your kids and play with kids of any age, from few months old up to 16 years of age, while parents can relax or getting involved in their favourite’s activities. Children’s meals are served at any time, designed according to their dietary requirements. Getting Here
Most major European and African airlines—including Kenya Airways—fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, which is Kenya’s main airport. Kenya Airways also flies nonstop from the U.S (New York). The fastest routes to Nairobi are usually two nonstop legs routed through London or another European city such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Paris. Other possible connections are available through the Middle East, Qatar and Dubai; and via Asia, Kenya Airways has flights between Nairobi and Bangkok, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Guangzhou in China.

Passport and Visa
To enter Kenya a valid passport and must be valid for six months after the return of your journey and should also have sufficient blank visa pages for entry and exit stamps. Please note that it is the guest’s sole responsibility to acquire the appropriate valid travel documents. If you do not have the proper documentation, you may be denied boarding or entry without a refund. You can apply for your e-Visa online fast and safely – anywhere and anytime and get it within 48 hours www.evisa.go.ke. You must produce a printed copy of the e-visa at check-in or you won’t be allowed to travel. The e-visa is valid for 90 days from the date of approval – not from the date of arrival in Kenya – which can take up to seven days.
Vaccination
A Yellow vaccination certificate is required ONLY if you are travelling from The CDC and WHO each provide a current list of all affected countries. If vaccination for yellow fever is necessary, you must carry an International Certificate of Vaccination provided by your physician; you may be denied entry without it. If your physician advises against receiving the vaccination because of your personal medical history, he or she can provide you with the necessary documentation for the country/countries you are visiting.

COVID Test requirements for arriving passengers
Passengers must have a negative PCR based Covid-19 certificate carried out within 96 hours prior to the departure date. The mandatory Ministry of Health Travellers Health Surveillance online Form must be filled out and submitted prior to travel. The online form should be accessed from the Ministry of Health website: https://ears.health.go.ke/airline_registration/. After submitting the travel surveillance form, Passengers are advised to download the QR code. Passengers will be required to display the received QR codes to port health officials on arrival for them to be allowed to proceed to arrival immigration. Arriving passengers will be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine except if they are coming from the exempted countries. COVID rules and regulations are subject to change from time to time. Getting around in Kenya
The entry point into Kenya is usually via the capital city, Nairobi. Most safari and domestic flights leave from Wilson Airport, 6 km south of the city. Some parks are easy to get to by road, whereas others are best accessed by air.
Climate
The cost is always hot with an average daytime temperature of 27-31 degrees centigrade whilst the average daytime temperature in Nairobi is 21-26 degrees centigrade. Temperatures elsewhere depend on altitude. July and August mark the Kenya winter. Typically, January-February is dry, March-May is wet, June-September is dry, and October-December is wet.
Time
GMT +3 all year-round. Kenya maintains an almost constant 12 hours of daylight, sun-up and sun-down being at around 6.30 and 18.45 daily, and varying only by 30 minutes during the year.
Currency
Kenya has a cash-based economy. Cash transactions can be made in U.S. dollars or local currency (Kenyan Shillings), U.S. dollars should be recently issued bills in smaller denominations. Access to ATM machines is available in Nairobi but limited in rural areas. All major international cards are accepted.
