Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by a Luxury Africa representative who will assist you to connect with your scheduled flight to Soranera (central Serengeti) Airstrip where your guide will be waiting for you. He will brief you about the Safari and The Serengeti ecosystem in general and game drive you at the lodge. After breakfast at the Lodge, you’ll be driven to the central. The sheer volume of animals here is extraordinary. The Seronera River weaves its way through the Serengeti, providing waters for all species of wildlife. You will also see the distinctive rocky outcrops, the famous kopjes which characterize the Serengeti landscape. Kopjes are very hard and often granite. They have been aged at maybe 600 million years old and created even before the earth’s surface was pushed up from the ocean. Lions and other cats frequent these stony places and they are also home to snakes and hyraxes. Slowly weathering in wind and rain, they are peeling off in layers, which you may see on close inspection.

Wake up early for an hour-long, sunrise, hot-air balloon. The balloon crew will assist as you clamber into your balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise. As you raise the Maasai Mara plains opens up before your eyes feast on the golden sunrise, enchanting sceneries, and plains-game below as the winds gently blows the basket deeper into the reserve. The pilot is at hand pointing out at the wildlife below with plenty of photographic opportunities unfolding. Soar silently with 360 degrees of spectacular savannah, followed by a Champagne breakfast in the bush. Later in the afternoon you will fly to Selous Game Reserve. A guide will meet you at the airstrip and give you an introduction of the reserve on the game drive back to the camp, where warm welcome and cool drinks will await. Enjoy a leisurely lunch.

After breakfast, you will fly to Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival you’ll be met and received by your driver guide and start a short game drive as you head towards your camp. Check in at Sand River Sand Selous Lodge

Selous Game Reserve is the largest game reserve in Africa and a UNESCO Heritage site. It is entirely different to the Serengeti, with a network of rivers, lakes and swamps to explore, as well as woodland and plains. Its name originates from a great hunter and conservationist called Frederick Selous Courtney. At a vast 56,000sqkm it is the size of Switzerland, and is, without question, one of the most important refuges for large mammals on the planet such as buffalos, Lions, wildebeests, large tower of giraffes, zebras, hippos, impalas, large numbers of Lichtenstein’s hartebeests, waterbucks, elands and bushbucks, in addition to leopards, crocodiles and hyenas. Have breakfast, but on a sandbar in a crocodile-crowded river, swim, but under palm trees in  hot spring rock pools, lying on sandbars watching eagles, and  amazing game drives in untouched Africa wilderness a sunset romantic boat cruise in secluded floodplains to see elephant herds, and shining flocks of great white pelicans, monitor lizards, Colobus Monkeys and on the way back we just let the current spiral us back to the lodge.

After breakfast, relax at the lodge in a total privacy and exclusivity. After an early lunch, you will fly to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and drive an hour to The Palms.
